Pokemon GO Dynamax Costs Are Higher for Beldum

Pokemon GO fans are unhappy about the fact that the cost of Dynamax upgrades for Beldum is much higher than the previously released Pokemon, with the difference being as much as 20 candies for each level. The cost of upgrading the Dynamax moves for Pokemon has been a point of contention ever since the mechanic debuted, and this change has infuriated the Pokemon GO fanbase even further.

The long-awaited Dynamax feature was recently added to Pokemon GO, and it has received a mixed reception from the community. While new features are always welcomed by the community, many fans consider the mechanic a gimmick. While the mechanic debuted with the Kanto starters alongside Wooloo and Skwovet, Niantic added the Dynamax variant of Beldum as part of the Psychic Spectacular event. This came off as quite a surprise since Mega Metagross has been one of the most awaited Pokemon variants in the game, and the Dynamax version was released before that. Amid that, fans are quite unhappy about another change that is coming with the new Dynamax Pokemon that is being released in Pokemon GO.

In a new post on The Silph Road subreddit, user DaystarEld reveals an interesting difference between Dynamax Beldum and other Pokemon. Apparently, players will need to shell out 70 Beldum candies for Max Guard and 120 Beldum candies for Max Strike to be able to upgrade to level 2. While the Max Particle cost is the same in Pokemon GO, the increase in the number of candies is about 20, which is something fans are unhappy about.
