Another month of active developments has come to an end. Here are the developments that happened on the blockchain in August 2025 👇

▶️ The Open Beta network would end by the 8th of September, 2025. Afterward, there would be a testnet launch, basically the release candidate of the mainnet. The testnet would run beyond the mainnet start as our permanent open testnet. It will allow users to test claiming based on a new snapshot. Still, the balance will be reduced to 1% of the original size to have enough free coins to distribute to people who want to operate testnet nodes or test DMD Diamond Layer-1 as a possible home for their projects.

▶️ On the 22nd of September, 2025, we will announce the snapshot and mainnet launch date. There are two possible timeframes: one about a week before and one about a week after the Barcelona Blockchain Convention — we will be present again this year with a booth and in a panel discussion.

▶️ The DMD Diamond grant program is still on! It aims to support the development of new decentralized applications (dApps) and tools on top of our ecosystem. The initiative seeks to expand the DMD Diamond ecosystem through projects in DeFi, GameFi, NFTs, and more.

Teams with creative and practical solutions can receive funding up to $5,000, and the best project will be awarded a full validator node with 10,000 DMD.
