The legal world is shifting fast. AI is generating new types of content. Digital agreements stretch across borders. And trust — real, verifiable trust — is becoming the foundation of modern legal systems.

That’s why we were excited to sponsor a dedicated Constellation track in this year’s Blockchain Legal Institute (BLI) Legal Tech Hackathon. Developers were challenged to build tools that make legal workflows faster, more transparent, and more accountable using emerging technology.

Below is a quick look at the eight completed submissions that integrated Constellation for verified data, digital evidence, or tamper-proof audit trails.

Project Spotlights: Constellation Track Submissions

1. HakiChain

A Web3 + AI platform for lawyers, NGOs, and clients. HakiChain automates casework, verifies documents on-chain, and uses smart escrow to enforce payment milestones. Constellation anchors legal data for tamper-proof authenticity.

2. LexLink

A full IP licensing workflow combining Story Protocol, ICP escrow, and Constellation anchoring. Every license settlement generates a digital evidence pulse with explorer links and compliance metadata — creating audit-grade, multi-chain IP records.

3. ProvenanceAI

A dual-layer system for AI-generated IP. Story Protocol manages current licensing terms, while Constellation captures immutable historical snapshots. Even if terms change, the original record remains verifiable — crucial for dispute resolution.

4. 7worlds Empire

A visionary “future city” combining immersive tech, AR layers, kinetic art, and public R&D spaces. While conceptual, it hints at how large-scale experiential environments could rely on verifiable data and decentralized governance standards.

5. VerifyMyWallet

A privacy-preserving way to prove wallet ownership using zero-knowledge proofs or single-use verification tokens. Ideal for communities, airdrops, and whitelists, without exposing the underlying wallet or transaction history.

6. ProofVault

A one-click digital evidence capture tool built directly around Constellation. Users can snapshot a page or document, generate a PDF, and anchor its hash immutably. Two versions exist: a custom metagraph implementation and a Digital Evidence–integrated version.

7. SplitSafe

A trustless escrow and split-payment system using native Bitcoin (ckBTC on ICP) with no bridges or wrapped tokens. Constellation provides immutable fingerprints for every escrow event, making financial agreements fully auditable.

8. PeerVerse

A decentralized platform where anyone can teach or learn. PeerVerse uses decentralized identity, on-chain reputation, and verifiable credentials to support equitable, borderless education — aligned with modern digital rights and credentialing standards.

Why These Builds Matter for the Future of Legal Technology

Across all eight submissions, we saw clear themes:

Verified data is becoming essential

Developers leaned heavily on cryptographic evidence, immutable fingerprints, and chain-of-custody systems — areas where Constellation’s architecture excels.

Legal workflows are increasingly multi-chain

Projects combined ICP, Bitcoin, Story Protocol, EVM networks, and Constellation into unified legal or compliance flows.

AI demands new legal protections

Tools like ProvenanceAI show how audit trails, provenance, and version tracking are becoming mandatory in an AI-driven IP landscape.

Legal processes are shifting toward automation

From escrow automation to dispute timelines to dynamic compliance records, developers are designing legal systems that respond to real data in real time.
