An AI-generated performer, Tilly Norwood, has stepped further into the spotlight by releasing a surreal music video titled Take The Lead. The digital character, which has already sparked debate within Hollywood, uses the song as both an introduction to her persona and a statement about the role artificial intelligence can play in creative industries. Through the video, Norwood emphasizes the idea that AI can work alongside human artists rather than replacing them.

The video blends playful humor with eye-catching imagery. At one moment, Norwood jokes about attending the Oscars and asks whether there is valet parking available for her flamingo. The video also features striking scenes such as the AI performer swinging from a disco ball or gliding through the air on an inflatable flamingo.
Although the visuals rely heavily on AI-generated elements, nearly twenty people were involved in producing the video, including designers, editors, and performers. The creators say this collaborative approach demonstrates how technology can complement human creativity rather than replace it.

The song’s lyrics also respond to the criticism Norwood received after being introduced in 2025 as the first AI “actress.” In the track, she sings about being misunderstood, suggesting that people overlook the human creativity involved in building AI characters.
