The cryptocurrency market is witnessing increased institutional activity, with spot Bitcoin ETFs recording $217 million in net inflows and Strategy adding 4,603 BTC to its holdings for approximately $369.7 million. Meanwhile, BitMine expanded its Ethereum treasury by 53,501 ETH, while Strive increased its Bitcoin holdings by another 1,800 BTC in a series of notable corporate crypto investments.

Bitcoin ETFs Record $217M in Net Inflows

Data from SoSoValue shows that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively generated $217 million in net inflows during the latest trading session. BlackRock’s IBIT led the group, attracting approximately $206 million in a single day. Its cumulative net inflows have now reached around $63.571 billion.

The Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF followed with approximately $9.4165 million in daily net inflows, bringing its historical cumulative inflows to roughly $2.867 billion.

Not all funds recorded positive flows. VanEck’s HODL ETF registered the largest daily outflow at approximately $13.4134 million. Despite this withdrawal, the fund’s cumulative net inflows remain around $1.049 billion.

Across the spot Bitcoin ETF market, total net assets stood at approximately $99.611 billion. The funds represented an ETF net asset ratio of 6.29%, while cumulative historical net inflows reached approximately $54.847 billion.

Strategy Returns to Bitcoin Accumulation

Strategy has resumed its Bitcoin acquisition strategy after a two-month pause. According to a company announcement, the firm purchased 4,603 BTC for approximately $369.7 million, paying an average of $80,318 per Bitcoin.

Following the latest acquisition, Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings increased to 845,050 BTC, reinforcing its position as one of the largest corporate holders of the asset.

The company generated $602.8 million through the sale of common stock. Of that amount, approximately $369.7 million was allocated toward the Bitcoin purchase. Strategy used another $151.8 million to repurchase STRC preferred stock, with the remaining funds added to its cash reserves.

MEXC Introduces Visa-Backed Crypto Card

Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has launched its new Global Card, a virtual payment solution backed by the Visa network. Eligible users can use the card to make payments with Tether (USDT), further expanding the practical use cases for digital assets.

The card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay and includes a tiered rewards structure offering up to 10% monthly cashback in USDT. Users can also access annual yields of up to 7% through the MEXC Earn flexible product.

The launch comes amid rising activity in crypto-based payments. Monthly cryptocurrency payment volume reached approximately $759 million in July, with stablecoins accounting for a significant share of the activity.

BitMine Expands Ethereum Treasury

BitMine Immersion Technologies has significantly increased its Ethereum holdings. In its latest treasury update, the company reported holding 5,901,112 ETH as of August 30 after acquiring an additional 53,501 ETH during the previous week.

Based on the company’s reference price of $2,511 per ETH, its Ethereum holdings were valued at approximately $14.82 billion at the time of the reported snapshot.

BitMine's management noted that its ETH holdings represented approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s reported circulating supply of 120.7 million tokens.

Ethereum was trading near $2,459.62 at the time of reporting, according to CoinGecko data. The asset had gained approximately 0.5% over the previous 24 hours and 31.4% over the preceding 30 days.

Strive Adds 1,800 BTC to Its Holdings

Strive has also increased its Bitcoin reserves with a substantial purchase. An SEC Form 8-K filing submitted on August 31 revealed that the company acquired 1,800 BTC between August 24 and August 28.

The Bitcoin was purchased at an average price of approximately $79,431 per coin, bringing the total transaction value to around $143 million.

Following the purchase, Strive’s Bitcoin holdings increased from 21,356 BTC to 23,156 BTC. According to BitcoinTreasuries.net data, the company's new balance moved it ahead of cryptocurrency exchange Bullish, which reportedly holds 22,000 BTC.

Strive now ranks as the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder, behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings. The continued accumulation by publicly traded companies, combined with strong ETF inflows, highlights the growing role of institutional and corporate investors in the digital asset market.
