Decathlon has launched an exciting new NFT game

Decathlon, the French sports retailer, is venturing into the NFT (non-fungible token) space again with their latest launch, the 'Rockrider Geocaching Game.' This limited NFT hunt is powered by the Tezos blockchain, following their earlier collaboration with freestyler Séan Garnier called 'Kipsta Barrio.'

The 'Rockrider Geocaching Game' allows participants to search for digital collectibles, limited to only 1,000 in quantity. The game combines geocaching with NFTs, where GPS activation triggers a map showing nearby digital collectibles and their availability at specific locations.

Unlocking at least one collectible grants participants access to the Rockrider Community, offering exclusive benefits such as early access to upcoming collections, opportunities to participate in product test missions to shape future offerings, and collaboration chances with the Rockrider team.

The game utilizes the Tezos blockchain, an open-source platform that enables peer-to-peer transactions and supports smart contracts. It is open to mainland Europe only. Decathlon's choice of Tezos highlights its commitment to sustainable and innovative digital solutions, as Tezos is known for its energy-efficient and self-modifying blockchain.
