NFT News - FC Barcelona and World of Women partner to create an NFT collection

The NFT piece, titled "Empowerment," takes its cues from famed Spanish footballer Alexia Putellas. This special composition was inspired by Alexia, the Spain national team player and captain of Barcelona.

In addition to supporting gender equality and equal chances for women and girls within the profession, Alexia Putellas and FC Barcelona are both ardent supporters of women's empowerment in sports. Their cooperation in creating this NFT artwork emphasizes their dedication to these vital objectives.

Since joining Barcelona in 2012, Alexia has racked up seven league championships, seven Copas de la Reina, and two UEFA Women's Champions League medals. She is renowned for having been a crucial part of Barcelona's historic continental treble and Champions League victories in the 2020–21 campaign. 

Rhiana Madeline, a World of Women artist known for fusing traditional fine art techniques with cutting-edge technical tools to "push the limits of human creativity" through digital art, developed this one-of-a-kind token. 

Alexia was originally sculpted in three dimensions by Madeline, who then added digital painting, special effects, cheers from Barça fans, and crowd lights. Gold was employed by the artist to represent Alexia's accomplishments. From June 26 to June 28, the item "Empowerment" will be put up for auction on the well-known OpenSea marketplace.

Additionally, a microsite will be established with all the relevant data and the specifics of the artwork. The owner of this NFT will profit in a special way, getting to meet Alexia and getting a pair of signed football boots in addition to promoting female equality in sports.
