Google Maps Introduces AI-Powered “Ask Maps” and Enhanced Immersive Navigation

Google has announced a new upgrade for Google Maps, bringing an AI-driven conversational feature called “Ask Maps” along with an improved Immersive Navigation experience. According to Google, Ask Maps delivers personalized responses based on signals like previously searched locations or places saved to a user’s account. For example, if someone asks for a comfortable restaurant where friends can meet for dinner, the system may already know their preference for vegan dining and suggest nearby restaurants that match those preferences.

The Ask Maps feature is currently rolling out to Android and iOS users in the United States and India, with desktop availability expected soon.
