HashKey and Catizen join forces in TON ecosystem expansion

HashKey Group, a leading digital asset financial services provider in Asia, has announced a strategic partnership with Telegram Mini App, Catizen. This collaboration marks HashKey's first venture into Web3 with Catizen and aims to advance the development of the TON ecosystem.

According to a press release shared with Cointelegraph, HashKey Global, a licensed digital asset exchange, will offer Catizen users compliant and reliable digital asset services. The partnership will focus on expanding the TON ecosystem and developing gaming finance (GameFi) products, alongside building global digital entertainment infrastructure.

HashKey’s Choice of Catizen

HashKey Group's decision to partner with Catizen is driven by the rapid growth of The Open Network (TON) ecosystem. In an exclusive interview with Cointelegraph, Ben El-Baz, Managing Director of HashKey Global, highlighted the increase in developers on the TON blockchain as a key factor in the partnership. El-Baz noted that the influx of experienced teams working on TON projects in decentralized finance (DeFi) and games like Catizen signaled a promising period for the ecosystem.

Launch of TON Ventures Fund

On August 14, former TON Foundation executives launched the TON Ventures fund, a new venture capital firm with $40 million in funding to support early-stage crypto projects on the TON blockchain. Ian Wittkopp, former Director of TON Accelerator, stated that the fund aims to provide new support and capital to early-stage startups, facilitating growth and innovation within the TON ecosystem.
