Marlabs Sets Ambitious Target for 50% Growth in Data and AI by 2027

Marlabs, a US-based IT services company, plans to significantly expand its data and AI business by 50% over the next 2-3 years. According to CEO Thomas Collins, this growth will be driven largely by the company's operations in India, where a majority of its AI and data engineering work is conducted. The company has around 1,500 employees in India, spread across key locations such as Bengaluru, Pune, Mysuru, and Kochi, and plans to hire 500 more employees in the country to support this expansion.

Marlabs' business model is organized into four segments: data and AI, product engineering, infrastructure and factories, and talent services. The data and AI segment, which has been experiencing double-digit growth, is at the core of the company's strategy to become an AI-first company by 2027. This shift is expected to be bolstered by synergies from recent acquisitions and a focus on industries like life sciences and healthcare, where AI solutions are being developed for clinical trials and operational efficiency improvements.

In conclusion, Marlabs' aggressive growth plans reflect the increasing importance of AI in today’s business landscape. With a clear focus on expanding its capabilities in this area, particularly through its Indian operations, Marlabs is positioning itself to be a major player in the AI space by 2027.
