OnePlus Nord 4 and CE 4 Lite 5G Unveil New AI Features: Speak Summary & Writer Toolkit
Through an AI Toolkit, the OnePlus Nord 4 Series receives three new AI features: Details On August 10, the OnePlus Nord 4 and the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G received new AI features. The company announced the integration of three new AI features for these smartphones via an AI Toolkit. This toolkit will be in the sidebar, but the features won't show up until the right conditions are met. For instance, the AI Speak feature will only be available when a webpage contains a significant amount of text.
AI Features for the OnePlus Nord 4 Series These AI features were anticipated to be included in the OnePlus Nord 4, which was released in July. However, the company has finally implemented the AI features after a lengthy delay. These features will also be available on the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G, but only in India.
The company stated in a community post that Nord 4 users in Europe, India, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, Russia, and Latin America will be able to use the features. However, the AI feature will only be accessible to Indian Nord CE 4 Lite users.
When it comes to the features, AI Speak is the first. This text-to-speech (TTS) feature can read aloud any page that contains a certain amount of text. It works in browsers and some apps that have a lot of text, but it might not work in some social media apps. Through a bottom sheet that appears on the screen, users can select between male and female voices, replay a portion, skip sentences, and even adjust the playback speed. In the same interface, the readable text also appears separately.
The AI Summary feature is the second one. The summarization feature, as demonstrated by Samsung and Google, basically produces a text summary of a lengthy webpage or document. The generated summary can be copied, shared, or saved in the Notes app by OnePlus users. Additionally, it can be stored in the File Dock.
AI Writer is the final AI feature. It is a text-creation tool powered by AI that can write reviews, emails, texts, essays, and even stories. Within a text field, the feature will be activated. The tone of the text that is generated can be controlled through an option. In addition, users can use on-screen images to generate text.
Users will first need to enable screen recognition in order to use these features. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility & Convenience to accomplish this. Alternately, the feature will display a prompt asking for consent to enable screen recognition when used for the first time.
